With monthly premiums starting at £7.49 a month for the first child in the first year for customers of The Children's Mutual, First Healthcare offers affordable cover for your child for private medical conditions that arise after joining including the following key benefits:

• Prompt access to consultations and diagnostic tests, and prompt access to private treatment if the NHS waiting list is more than six weeks from when the treatment should take place.
• No overall annual limit to the amount that can be claimed.
• Parent accommodation fees incurred paid in full for one parent to stay in the same hospital as their child. So, you're never far away when they need you.

First Healthcare also provides other benefits including:

• Access to Health at Hand, AXA PPP healthcare's health information and personal counselling line, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for your family.
• If paediatric treatment is not available in a hospital in our network we also pay for treatment at any other hospital that meets the Healthcare Commission's paediatric guidelines. So, if your child requires treatment you shouldn't have to travel far and nor will their visitors.
• Eligible bills settled directly with the hospital where possible - so you won't be left out of pocket.
• No medical examination required.
• When your child joins First Healthcare we assess all claims against the terms and conditions of the policy.
